- A preliminary visual inspection to check for defects such as damaged cables, incorrect wiring, damaged cases and switches.
- Earth Bond test (Class 1 Equipment only), this tests the continuity resistance of the CPC.
- Insulation Resistance Test. This test is required to check the integrity of the insulation of the appliance between Phase and the CPC.
- Finally a functional test to ensure correct working order of the appliance.
